About Kikoys
Kikoys have been worn in Kenya and the East African region for centuries. Originally worn by fishermen, the kikoy used to be a simple white wrap-around with colored stripes or striped borders. The modern kikoy’s color pallet personifies vivacious Kenyan culture, and is gaining global appeal as a fashion accessory.
Our Selection
These kikoys are ethically produced in Kenyan factories that provide fair working wages and a modernized, clean, and safe working environment. Authentic kikoys, like ours, are woven out of dyed cotton yarn. The interplay of warp and weft yarn colors create a complexity not possible with printed designs. The fringes on the kikoy are meticulously hand-braided in a traditional manner.

Fun
Kikoys can be used as scarves (great with a pair of jeans), beach wraps/cover ups, baby slings, beach towels/throws, nursing drapes, and much more. Kikoys only get softer and comfier with each use and wash, and more distinctly yours. A great gift for those from Venus or Mars.
